Work Experience

The Academy is always delighted to receive enquires regarding work experience. In fact, some of our staff members choose to embark on a career with the Academy following a very positive period of work experience.

We encourage interest from people from all backgrounds including those who may be studying BSL, to those on a formal teaching qualification which requires a period of work placement. Previously we have also hosted placements for those within Year 10 or Year 11 of their academic studies and for those who may be at College studying Health and Social Care.

To register your interest in work experience please contact employment@thedeafacademy.ac.uk for an application form.

Please note placements cannot be guaranteed and you may be requested to attend an interview.
