Here at Exeter Deaf Academy we welcome young people from across the UK. Our aim is to give our students the confidence, communication skills,
education and support network they need to achieve their goals, and dream big. We are passionate about achieving our vision: to see Deaf people
valued by themselves and society, being confident well educated, independent and able to communicate, with good and appropriate employment and housing.
From Primary School to College, our students are supported every step of the way in order to help them discover their passions and work towards independence.
Our bilingual approach and tailored support packages mean that every student who attends the Deaf Academy is given the tools they need to grow and flourish.
Not only do we encourage our students in their academic achievements, but we also provide an exciting range of extra-curricular activities. Our residential
students are cared for by passionate, highly trained staff who put our young people’s safety and wellbeing at the forefront of everything they do.
We understand each of our students’ individual needs and provide a range of in-house therapies, from Physiotherapy to BSL
Counselling, to help nurture not only their academic development but also their social and emotional growth.
